I took this project on after seeing several different design agencies attempt to deliver a vision for Alkami and fall short of what it was the founder of the company was trying to capture. I approached him and asked if I could take a stab at it since I knew the company fairly well having worked there for almost 2 years at the time. I presented him with some ideas that involved elements I knew meant something to Alkami and its story.
After a couple of additional meetings brainstorming about additional elements and ways to introduce color, I landed on a few concepts to showcase how the art could be layered together while telling a story at the same time.
After getting the right direction for colors, layout and content, it was time to put it all together. The process took around 3 months overall, but after getting everyone on the same page, the end result took only a few weeks. The project in the end consisted of 5 different walls with over 1,100 square feet of design catered specifically to Alkami's story.
I made sure I was present during the installation process to ensure top quality and a beautiful finished mural. See below for a panoramic photo of the finished mural.
