Project Process

Business Banking is like a persona of our product. Business banking users have access to different features and overall use the standard features much differently than a typical user. They do things on a much larger scale and therefore need a refined experience to support those workflows.

The particular workflow I am working on in this scenario is how a business banking admin can create sub-users to help them manage things like payroll, authorize wire transfers, create templates and more.

One part of this workflow is the ability to manage all of the devices those sub-users are allowed to use and how they will use MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) to log in. The whiteboarding image you see to the right shows the decision architecture of how to complete an MFA login.

To the left you can see some workflows another designer and I mapped out to support the creation of sub-users. There is a lot of data and decisions that need to be made when creating a sub-user. We want to make it simple, intuitive and efficient.

Another thing to consider was how to create this workflow and allow it to be accessible and used within our design system called Iris.

This is still a work in progress as there are a lot of complex workflows to consider. I wanted to include this piece as it's worked on, to show the UX process and how we tackle big problems like this.

We are currently in the wireframing stage, but I think it's important to call out how critical each of these steps are. Below you can see another screen in the wireframe workflow that points out some of the complex data and decision making that goes into this feature.
