Force Touch was a fun addition to our app. We knew we needed to utilize all the capabilities of smartphones we could to enhance the experience of our app. Force Touch offered us some fun extensions for the app to let users have a peek into their accounts right from their smartphones home screen.
The main thing we wanted to add using Force Touch was the ability to access common actions without having to launch the app.
One big bonus was being able to show their most used account and surfacing its balance. We were also able to choose 4 actions that users commonly use and surface those through Force Touch. We deep link each of those actions into their respective area in the app.
Users also a lot of times want to just check ATM locations that are nearby. There is no reason for them to launch the app if the desire could be integrated into their default map application.
Force Touch overall makes it a bit more fun and easier to use the app and get where you want to go.
